Pricing

How much does a pergola cost?

A pergola's price comes down to a few things: the type, the square metres you cover, the motorisation and the options you choose. Below we walk through what moves the price, and give indicative "starting from" ranges — though the exact figure is always set in the quote that follows an on-site survey.

What drives a pergola's price

Type accounts for the biggest difference. A bioclimatic louvred pergola uses motorised, tilting aluminium louvres to control light and heat, and forms a watertight roof when closed — a more complex structure than a retractable-canopy pergola, where a tensioned fabric opens and closes over the frame. A folding-arm or cassette awning is simpler still: it has no standalone frame and mounts to the façade to provide shade.

Size and covered area raise the price almost linearly: a wider span calls for thicker posts (piantone) and stronger beams. The installation method matters too — a wall-mounted pergola is cheaper than a freestanding four-post structure — as does the groundwork: the load-bearing base, fixings and drainage connection all come out at the survey.

The options that move the total

Motorisation is already included in the base price on louvred and most canopy models, but there are many ways to extend from there. Closure systems make a pergola usable across the whole season: roll-down zip-screen blinds and glazed sliding panels (on the Climax range, Glass Windows, Mirada, Winterly) create an enclosed, wind-protected space — and form separate line items.

For lighting you can choose between perimeter LED Line and spotlight-style LED Spot, with adjustable colour temperature. Sensors — rain, wind, snow, temperature — close or open the roof automatically, so the structure protects itself without the owner stepping in. The remote control, Bluetooth audio and custom RAL colours are also optional lines in the quote. The more you add, the further the total moves above the starting price.

Indicative starting prices

The prices below are gross and indicative, and apply to each model's entry configuration. The actual price depends on size and options, so it is finalised in the post-survey quote. (Figures are in Hungarian forint, the currency we quote in.)

Bioclimatic louvred pergola, RGM Climax range: the compact Climax Smart starts from around HUF 3.3 million, the full-size Climax from around HUF 3.8 million. The wide-span Climax Big sits well above this, as it is engineered for greater loads.

Retractable-canopy pergola, RGM Eterea and Greta: from around HUF 2.3 million. This type is a good fit when you don't need a fully watertight louvred roof but want to shade a large terrace area with a movable canopy.

Folding-arm and cassette awning, RGM Sorrento and Amalfi: from around HUF 0.7 million. These façade-mounted solutions need the smallest investment and make the most sense where you aren't building a standalone outdoor room but shading a specific window or terrace.

Why we only quote an exact price after a survey

For us every pergola is a one-off project: the same model on two different terraces is built with a different post count, different fixings and a different options list. So the exact price can't be read off a catalogue line — on site we measure the dimensions, the supporting structure, the orientation and the drainage options.

The survey also reveals whether the chosen options fit technically: how many posts a given span needs, whether the structure can be wall-mounted or has to stand on its own legs. That way the price in the quote reflects a real, buildable solution rather than a theoretical base configuration.

How to get a quick estimate

Before requesting a survey, you can get an estimate tailored to your needs: once you enter the size and options, the 3D planner and price calculator show the expected price level live. You can try how much the figure shifts when you add glazing, zip-screen shading or LED lighting to the configuration.

Once you have the setup you want, the request-a-quote button gets you a precise, personalised offer. We then arrange a survey date, and the final price is settled on the data measured on site. The estimate and the quote request are free and commit you to nothing.
