Microenterprise exemption

Under Section 4(5) of Hungarian Act XVII of 2022, microenterprises are exempt from the full application of the service accessibility requirements, provided they meet the microenterprise criteria laid down in Section 3 of Act XXXIV of 2004 on small and medium-sized enterprises (the Hungarian SME Act).

Microenterprise criteria (SME Act, Section 3)

  • fewer than 10 employees;
  • annual net revenue or balance sheet total of at most EUR 2 million;
  • the independence criterion is satisfied.

Statement by Riczu Works

The operator of the website (Riczu Gábor e.v.) meets the microenterprise criteria above and is therefore exempt under the law from the full application of the accessibility requirements. Despite this — as detailed below — we voluntarily work to make the website as broadly accessible as possible.

What we work on

While we do not commit to full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, we actively work on usability in the following areas during design and development. These are commitments, not audited guarantees.

Commitment

Semantic HTML

Proper sectioning, heading hierarchy, and landmarks (header, main, nav, footer) so that screen-reader navigation is predictable.

Commitment

Keyboard navigation

Interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable via Tab and expose a visible focus indicator.

Commitment

Contrast and typography

Main content aims for the recommended contrast ratios; text scales responsively and browser-level zoom works as expected.

Commitment

Reduced motion

We respect the `prefers-reduced-motion` system setting: heavier animations and smooth scrolling are disabled in reduced-motion mode.

Commitment

Alt text

Informative images carry textual descriptions; purely decorative images are marked with `alt=""`.

Commitment

Responsive layout

Layouts work on mobile, tablet and desktop; touch targets follow basic usability sizing.

04

Known limitations

The website is under continuous development. We know there is room for improvement in the following areas — we are working on them:

Complex animations

Some design-level animations (custom cursor, GSAP effects) are only partially available in reduced-motion mode; the content itself is fully accessible without animation.

Project photo alt text

Some gallery image descriptions are still short; we keep adding more detailed, project-specific alt text over time.

Contrast fine-tuning

Some secondary surface elements (e.g. floating UI, decorative captions) may fall below the ideal 4.5:1 contrast target; we are improving these step by step.

05

Reporting an accessibility issue

If you run into a barrier while using the site, or have a suggestion, we'd love to hear it. We take every report seriously and try to fix clear issues in the next development cycle.

Remedies

If your accessibility report does not receive an appropriate response, or you find the response unsatisfactory, you may turn to the market surveillance authority designated under Hungarian Act XVII of 2022. The set of supervisory authorities and their precise contact details are determined by that act and the relevant government designation decree.

For data-protection remedies, the contact details of the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) are listed in the Privacy notice and the Imprint.

This statement is based on Hungarian Act XVII of 2022 and the EAA (2019/882). Effective: 16 May 2026.
