Entry canopies, carport covers, window and terrace awnings. Fixed, made-to-size structures in aluminium and powder-coated steel, with glass or composite roofing. For where a pergola is too much, but the cover is still needed.

Approach

When an awning is the right answer

When it fits you

When you need to protect one specific spot from rain, snow, or harsh sun: the front door, the carport, a window, or one strip of the terrace. An awning is a fixed structure fixed to the wall or a few slim posts — smaller and more targeted than a pergola, but just as made-to-size and site-installed.

When we suggest something else

If you want to cover the whole terrace with adjustable louvers or a motorised roof, that's the pergola; you'll find it among the RGM products. If you need a retractable fabric shade, that's a roller awning, also from the RGM range. An awning, by contrast, is always a fixed, mounted roof over one given spot.

Options

What we design as an awning

  • 01

    Entry canopy

Over the door or porch, cantilevered off the wall or on slim posts. Tempered glass or composite roofing with concealed drainage. Designed to the façade's proportions, fitted to the existing lines.

  • 02

    Carport cover

For one or two cars, wall-mounted or on freestanding posts. Aluminium or steel frame, solid or louvered roofing. A carport that continues the line of the house.

  • 03

    Window and terrace awning

Over south- and west-facing windows or one strip of the terrace, to break the solar gain. Fixed louvered or solid roofing that shades in summer but lets the low winter sun through.

  • 04

    Wall-mounted louvered awning

Where a pergola would be too much: a narrow, wall-fixed louvered roof over a few square metres. Shade direction tunable via louver angle, with permanent drainage.

All of these are fixed, made-to-size structures. You'll find the retractable fabric awning among the RGM products.

Materials

What we build it from

  • Aluminium

The most common choice for awnings: light, corrosion-free, maintenance-free. Thin yet load-bearing profiles, in anthracite or wood-effect finish.

  • Powder-coated steel

For larger spans and carports, where the frame has to carry more. Engineered, with industrial powder coating.

  • Glass and composite roofing

Tempered safety glass for entry canopies and a clean, transparent look; solid aluminium or polycarbonate panel for carports and full shade.

FAQ

Frequently asked

A pergola is large, usually covering the whole terrace, often with adjustable louvers or a motor. An awning is a smaller, fixed roof over one specific spot — entry, car, window. It's frequently wall-mounted and rarely has moving parts.
